Aren't we sorry awful things?
Take a look around it's the apocolypse. This is dystopia and no one gives a shit. It's just a party now to usher in the end. The globe is getting hot, you better catch a tan, and numb yourself with pills so you don't have to feel cuz everything is sad and depression kills. And while people suffer we netflix and chill so we don't have to deal with anything real.
Aren't we sorry awful things?
There are so many people who wake up everyday to work away their lives for less than a living wage, but somehow as a collective society we've decided that it's all okay because we're all so fucking jaded from living paycheck-to-paycheck anyways. And our country is now the cult of a racist, sexist, xenophobe, a pumpkin-orange avatar of our corporate overlords who we relentlessly support, because they're mirror images of our own greed. For generations they've planted the seed. They give us sugar and then poison the sea, then refuse to pay for our diabetes. Poison the well then lead me to drink. Prescribe me a pill to temper the ache. Give me a screen so I don't have to think. Make it illegal for me to be me. Are these the people that we want to be?
I remember when I first heard this album, I couldn't get enough. The album is actually one continuous song split into parts. I love what they did here and it's as good as it ever was. Superdestroyer
